Remote Healthcare Middle East 2017

Call for Abstracts

The scientific committee of 3rd Remote Healthcare Middle East Conference has issued a call for abstracts for its 2018 event, taking place in Abu Dhabi.

The programme aims to discuss the most important topics for Remote and Emergency Healthcare including:

  • Providing healthcare in remote and hostile settings
  • Occupational health for sectors based in remote locations (oil & gas, mining and others)
  • Best practices and technology solutions for first respondent medicine
  • Mass casualty and emergency medical response
  • Search and rescue
  • Military and combat healthcare
  • Remote and distance health monitoring
  • NGO’s providing mobile healthcare
  • International policymakers and organisations developing global health program

 

Participants want real life examples of what works and practical take-away tools/solutions.  Thus, presentations will be selected based on:

  • Relevance 
  • Best practices
  • Case studies 
  • Completeness of the required information submitted

  

Abstract Guidelines

 

All abstracts submitted for presentations by 30th September 2017 will be assessed and prospective speakers will be notified about the results by 31st October 2017.

Speakers are advised to keep the following guidelines in mind when planning presentations:

Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). All reports must be based on work that has already been completed. No studies "in progress" will be accepted. The abstracts will be scored on the following criteria:

  • Originality
  • Concept and design
  • Presentation
  • Applicability
  • Other characteristics 

Important Information

 

• All abstracts must be prepared using the abstract submission guidelines.

• Each speaker may submit a maximum of two abstracts.

• Each abstract submission must indicate if the material was published or presented in any prior Congress or if it received any awards.

• Organisers reserve the right to substitute speakers that are not accepted for CME credit by HAAD; it is paramount to follow the guidelines set by accrediting body in order to avoid having your session cancelled.

• Speakers must not use the session as a marketing opportunity for products/equipment.

• Accepted abstracts presentations will get free registration to the event.

• Speakers are required to submit their identification documents as a part of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority event license requirement, failure to do will result in the cancellation of the session and the speaker will not be allowed to present at the event.

 

Important dates

 

30th September 2017 - Deadline for submission of abstracts

31st October 2017 - Speakers will be notified of acceptance

30th November 2017 - Speakers must submit final slides for CME accreditation process along with a transfer of copyright form signed by the speaker and the session’s evaluation task

30th January 2018 - Deadline for submitting documents for speakers/substitute speakers
